Psychic Attacks, Spirit Encounters, and the Lessons I Didn’t Ask For

Sometimes protecting your own house leads you to someone else’s.

I am SO tired. Three days of exhaustion, two nights of barely sleeping, and of course, it all started because I decided to try something new. Let me explain.

Our household is sensitive

Our household is very sensitive. Us girls have the ability to communicate with or sense entities, jinn, ghosts, or whatever you want to call them. For this article, we’re just going to call them spirits.

As our abilities continue to grow and expand, I’ve been learning more about how to work with gridding our home with crystals and I decided to change things up.

I wanted to create a different, more stable energy grid around our house. Something that would help establish stronger boundaries and keep certain spirits, monsters, and those deeper, heavier-feeling spirtis from entering our space.

Simple enough, right? Ha.

I don’t like calling Spirits negative anymore

Before I get into what happened, I want to explain something that has changed in my practice. I don’t really like using the word negative when talking about spirits anymore. I’ve gained a new understanding of my work. For a long time, I thought my job was to expel, remove, detach, or clear spirits from a space. And sometimes setting boundaries is still necessary.

But I’m learning that my first response doesn’t always need to be removing them. Sometimes I’m supposed to help heal them.

What if, instead of immediately telling them to leave, we asked what they needed?

Healing a spirit, in my experience, is incredibly rewarding. It’s about understanding why they might be stuck, angry, or hurting. It’s about communicating with them, listening, and helping them find their way to whatever comes next. And when I experience that release? Oh, it’s beautiful, it’s like pure joy. But back to my house.

OMG. I could not get this grid right.

I changed up the wards around our house and I could NOT get them right. The patterns weren’t working the way I wanted. The crystals where trying too hard and the grounding felt off upstairs.

At night, I would have spirit visits. Sometimes they feel like dreams or visions. And this time? It felt like a monster was sitting above me, dumping all its anxiety onto me.

It SUCKED.

I barely slept for two nights and I wasn’t the only one in the house having trouble sleeping. I was exhausted, frustrated, and wondering why something I thought would be so simple had become such a mess. I was trying to create a peaceful, grounded space, and instead I felt like I had invited an entire paranormal circus into my house.

Just wonderful.

Finally it clicked

After another exhausting night, I went back to the grid this morning. I worked through the crystals again, setting deeper intentions and moving the crystal energy farther. Finally, it felt right. But things got interesting. I realized that, I hadn’t just been working on my own house. I felt like I had been creating an energy grid for another house. A house I don’t know, never been to, but somehow, I felt was asking me for help.

UGH! Seriously? I was just trying to protect MY house! Sometimes the lesson isn’t what you think you are learning.

The Woman in the House

During this whole process, I had a vision of a house. I had this overwhelming feeling that there was someone there I was supposed to help. A woman, who had come to me before. I don’t know her name or where she was from, but she was upset, angry and sad - sadmad. So I did what I’m learning to do.

I asked her sit with me and I listened. I focused on healing rather than removing. I experienced what felt like her release with pure love and joy. She was finally able to move forward into whatever her next phase was supposed to be.

And I cried. Not because I was scared, but because I was so incredibly happy. I felt like I had helped someone who needed it. After days of frustration, exhaustion, and questioning what I was doing, that moment made everything feel worthwhile.

There’s a House somewhere

I still feel like there’s a house out there asking for help. I can picture it, but I don’t know where it is. Maybe one day I’ll recognize it or maybe the experience was simply meant to teach me something. I don’t know yet. And I’m learning to be okay with not knowing everything. Although, I would REALLY appreciate a little more sleep while I’m figuring it out.

Sometimes the lesson is in getting it wrong

Here’s what these past three days have taught me.

  • As we gain knowledge, we want to try new things and experiment.

  • We think we’ve figured something out and get it completely wrong.

  • But getting something wrong doesn’t mean the experience was wasted.

  • Sometimes you’re learning one thing while discovering something entirely different.

I thought I was learning how to create a stronger energetic boundary around my home. Instead, I found myself exploring what it means to help a spirit heal. I learned that I can hold two intentions at once. I can create boundaries for my home while still having compassion for what I experience as spirits who need help.

I don’t have to invite every energy into my space to help it and I don’t have to treat every unfamiliar presence as something dangerous. That’s a pretty big lesson.

Spirits have different names, but “What If” we started with compassion?

Jinn, Nadad, Aswang, Dakini, Shedim, Ghosts and/or etc…

Different cultures and spiritual traditions have different names, stories, and understandings of supernatural beings. They aren’t necessarily all the same, but I find myself coming back to one question when I encounter something I experience as a spirit. What if it needs healing?

That doesn’t mean ignoring boundaries. It means approaching these experiences with a little more compassion and a little less fear. The more I learn, the more I realize that healing isn’t always about getting rid of something; it’s about understanding it.

Let’s unhaunt your house

So I am here, exhausted and finally feeling like my house is grounded again.

This experience reminded me why I do this work.

  • I want to help houses.

  • I want to help the people living in them.

  • And I want to help the spirits I encounter who may be holding onto something they no longer need to carry.

Through Golden Wing Resonance, I offer house healing both in person and virtually. I work with the energy of homes, the land, and what I experience as spirits connected to those spaces.

So if your house feels a little off, if you’re curious about its history, or if you’ve been wondering whether there’s something more going on…

Let’s talk.

Let’s unhaunt your house by healing the house and listening to the spirits.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get some sleep. Hopefully.
